As a young child, dealing with my skin was always a hassle. I not only had sensitive skin but I suffered from excessively dry skin and eczema. To make things even worse I also used to suffer from dry scalp as well.
As I grew older, I began to take matters into my own hands. I realized that every time I bought a body lotion and/or hair product from the store, it would never work. I'd either break out from the harsh chemicals and/or ingredients or still have the dry and itchy scalp that I couldn't stand.
It wasn't until 2012 that I began to look for other natural alternatives. I did my own research on what ingredients could be used to treat the outstanding issues I was dealing with.
Four years later and after using nothing but my own homemade hair & body products (with updated ingredients of course), I decided to share my creations with my family and close friends. People would message me daily saying how much they loved the quality and scent of the body butters I had made for them or the hair oils I let them try out.
Eventually, after receiving so many outstanding responses, I decided to create Cari Naturals. "Cari" being short for Caribbean, represents my Haitian background and culture as a whole. "Naturals" represents my lifestyle of always caring about my health and the products that I use on my body. I wanted to make Cari Naturals a brand that not only represented my background but a movement that promotes the beauty that we as people already possess.
Along with the name, I also strive to use my skin & hair care company towards service. As time goes by I eventually would like to donate proceeds from each purchase that Cari sells to go towards a charity that is truly making a difference for children in the Caribbean.
